Aviofuel and the iPhone 5

Aviofuel is now fully compatible with the iPhone 5 and iOS 6. The latest version, available on the App Store, fixes a few minor bugs and introduces new features and improvements.

  The app crashes on startup

  Please update to the latest version (1.2.1), which fixes this issue.

  No central tank? Why?

  The current version of Aviofuel is designed for light jets and small turbine aircraft, which usually have Left and Right wing tanks, but no central tank. An option for a central tank will be implemented in a future update, along with support for heavier planes.

  Why can't I enter Total fuel weight directly?

  The app's main purpose is to calculate balanced fuel uplifts, evenly distributed between both wing tanks. Therefore, it needs to know the current fuel quantities in each wing. An option for directly entering Total Fuel will be implemented in a future update.

  Sometimes I see small discrepancies in the results

  This is due to the internal rounding in the calculations. The results are always rounded to the nearest integer. You may sometimes see discrepancies of +/- 1 unit. Since this has a minimal impact in real operations, you shouldn't worry too much about it.

  Weight units in 'Fuel' and 'FlightOps' sections don't match

  The FlightOps section always uses the current aircraft's default units. If you've manually selected different units in the Fuel section, do not worry: internal conversions are performed for you. Results will always be correct, even if current weight units in both sections are different. Please remember that you can change the aircraft's default units in its profile.

  I've added a new plane, but it doesn't appear in the selection menu

  You need to tag it as Favorite: Go to the Fleet section, look for your new plane and tap the white circle on his left (the circle will turn blue). Now, the plane is added to your list of Favorites, and will show up in the aircraft selection menu.

  Some sections are messed up on the iPhone 5

  Please update to the latest version (1.2.1). It fixes iPhone 5 presentation issues and comes with lots of improvements and a few bug fixes.
